Crowborough Beacon Golf Club

Terms and Conditions

Reservations

Societies are usually accommodated Monday to Friday only, however, weekend bookings may be considered dependant on availability. Reservations must be confirmed in writing and with a completed booking form. Due to high demand provisional bookings will be held for a maximum of 48 hours in the absence of a deposit. A deposit of £300.00 is required at time of confirmation.

Course Closure & inclement Weather Conditions

Decisions on course closure are made in the early hours of the morning and are stated on the front page of the club website (www.cbgc.co.uk). If the course is closed on the day of your visit, we will rearrange your day. Due to Crowborough Beacon's position, 750 feet above sea-level, we can sometimes suffer from fog/low lying cloud, which can linger longer than most places, particularly in the winter months. Due to this we have introduced a fog policy which is accessible via our website; we ask that you take the time to read this. If you are unfortunate enough to have a fog delay, we will ensure that your tee time maintains its position in the queue.

Golf buggies

Golf buggies are available but must be booked in advance, direct with the Professional Shop on 01892 661511 proshop@cbgc.co.uk.

Numbers and Payments

The minimum number of Society members is 12 - which ever package is chosen will be the basis for the minimum charge. Cancellation within four weeks of the booked date will result in a loss of deposit. Final numbers must be notified at least 7 days prior to the day, and the final invoice settled.

Arrival

Complimentary coffee will be available on arrival, 1 hour prior to your first Tee time in the club house. You will be met by one of our Meeters & Greeters, who will be able to answer any questions & provide additional information about your day.

Tees

Crowborough Beacon is a very demanding test of golf, we recommend that yellow tees are the best option for most players. White tees can be used on request if the general ability of your groups warrants their use.

Security

The Club cannot take responsibility for loss of, or damage to property left on the Club Premises or Car Park.

Mobiles

The use of mobile phones is NOT permitted in the lounge and bar areas and should be kept on silent, including on the course. Please switch mobile phones to silent or vibrate mode and use them responsibly so as not to disturb others. Calls may be made/taken in the Entrance Hall or on the Terrace, or on the course in an emergency.

Playing Formats

Texas Scrambles and Shotgun Starts are not permitted unless by prior agreement.

Pace of Play

Crowborough Beacon Golf Club is a 4-hour course. Please endeavour to adhere to this as much as possible.

Data Protection

All personal data will be handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy which is available on the club website, www.cbgc.co.uk. Please contact Chris Dowrick, Secretary, for further information.

Dress at Crowborough Beacon

Crowborough Beacon is a friendly informal club preferring to adopt the standards of a traditional members' club whilst embracing the changing fashions of golfing attire.

We ask all golfers and visitors to dress and behave in a responsible manner. On the golf course and practice areas recognised golfing attire that can be purchased from a golf shop is acceptable, whilst in the clubhouse smart casual wear is the order of the day. The dress code may differ for specific events and these requirements will be noted accordingly on the event advert.

Please wear clean, non-spiked, shoes when entering the Bar and Lounge, or soft-spiked shoes if returning to the Terrace. Please refrain from wearing hats/caps in the club house.  Our Changing Rooms are available for members and guests to use both before and after your game.

Dogs

Well behaved dogs on a lead are allowed on the course and on the terrace but, with the exception of Assistance/ therapy dogs, they shouldn't enter the Clubhouse.
